Data platform and analytics

Python Developer

Build the ingestion pipelines, analytics engines and attribution jobs behind funnels, retention grids, RFM and revenue reports.

Remote (India)Full-time

About the role

Reports on Edverix run on the raw events, so the number in a funnel and the number in a campaign are the same number. You will build the query layer that makes that possible: analyses compiled to single statements, computed attributes refreshed on a schedule, and attribution that traces revenue back to the message that earned it.

The work is Python with FastAPI and async tooling on Postgres, with warehouse sync to BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift and Databricks and exports to the customer's own storage. Correctness is the bar: a computed number must always be able to show its working.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-throughput REST and streaming APIs with FastAPI, AsyncIO and modern Python tooling.
  • Build the attribution models that join message events to conversions and revenue inside a window, against control groups and the universal holdout.
  • Optimise multi-tenant SQL, aggregation jobs and retention policies over large volumes of behavioural event data.
  • Create monitoring and anomaly detection that catches an unexpected drop in a conversion funnel and explains the dimension that moved.

Requirements

  • Three or more years writing robust, production-grade Python with FastAPI, Pydantic and SQLAlchemy or Django.
  • A strong background in analytical data stores such as Postgres, ClickHouse, Snowflake or BigQuery, and in data processing frameworks.
  • Experience building resilient background workers, schedulers and distributed locks.
  • Care for clean code, type hints checked with mypy, thorough tests and clear API documentation.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Parquet, object storage exports and warehouse sync.
  • Familiarity with cohort, retention and RFM analysis.
  • Prior work on data-subject erasure or retention-policy tooling.

What we offer

The basics, done properly.

The same for every role. Written down so it can be held to.

  • Remote-first. The team works from wherever it works best, and most communication is written and asynchronous.
  • A learning budget for books, courses and conferences, spent on whatever makes you better at the job.
  • The laptop and peripherals you choose, replaced when they slow you down.
  • Health cover for you and your dependants.
  • An annual offsite where the whole team meets in person.
  • Flexible hours built around the few meetings that need everyone present.

Hiring process

Four steps, no puzzles, and you are paid for the work.

The whole sequence usually runs inside three weeks. Every stage is with an engineer.

  1. 01

    Application

Apply from the role page with a link to something you have built. We read every application and reply to each one.

  2. 02

    Technical conversation

Forty-five minutes with an engineer on the team about systems you have shipped, what broke, and what you would do differently.

  3. 03

    Paid take-home or pairing session

Your choice: a scoped take-home paid at a fixed rate, or a two-hour pairing session on real code from the platform.

  4. 04

    Offer

A written offer with compensation and start date, and a call with the engineers you would work with before you decide.
